Mulholland Drive and Mullin Automotive Museum
This is THE iconic road. Starting in Hollywood, Mulholland Drive winds through the Santa Monica Mountains to the Pacific Ocean. Until the police shut it down, Mulholland Drive was the epicenter of street racing. Now it is a scenic, fun drive. Join us to drive the History. We will stop at the famous Rock Store, where the elite (think Jay Leno) have been spotted.
We will then travel up the Pacific Coast Highway to the Murphy Automotive Museum in Oxnard. We will take a look around and have lunch here, then cross the street to the Mullin Automotive Museum. The Mullin Collection is arguably the best collection of Pre and Post War French cars in North America. The Museum is homage to the art deco and the machine age – eras that produced exquisite art and magnificent automobiles. From Bugatti to Voisin, the Mullin has them on display, including the 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic.
This tour is offered on Saturday only and is limited to 125 participants. The fee for the tour, two museums and lunch is $50.00 per participant. Of special note, famed Porsche author Randy Leffingwell will be our tour guide of the Mullin.
