Space X
Space X
Space X designs, manufactures and launches the world’s most advanced rockets and spacecraft. The company was founded in 2002 to revolutionize space transportation with the ultimate goal of enabling people to live on other planets. Today, Space X is advancing the boundaries of space technology through its Falcon launch vehicles and Dragon spacecraft.
Space X is the only private company to return a spacecraft from low Earth orbit, which it first accomplished in 2010. The company made history again in 2012 when its Dragon spacecraft attached to the international Space Station, exchanged cargo payloads, and returned safely to Earth – a technically challenging feat previously accomplished only by governments. In October 2012 Dragon again successfully delivered cargo to and from the space station in the first official cargo resupply mission for NASA.
This may be the only place in the world where the entire space vehicle: engines, capsules and rocket bodies, are built and assembled under one roof. Tours to this facility are not easy to get and we are very fortunate to have been able to book this.
This tour is offered on Saturday and is limited to 20 participants. There is a fee of $75 per participant.
PLEASE NOTE: Identification is required for this tour. Non-US citizens must provide passports for clearance prior to the tour.
